PC problems!

Does anyone know if there are any default settings in Windows XP professional for viewing web pages?
I ask as everything seems too big, mainly lines of text inside clickable buttons, the text comes out of the button, whereas on my previous PC everything was fine.

On this site, when I click on show new posts, the posters name and the section the topic is posted in are missing text, this didn't happen on the old pc,have issues with other sites too!

I've tried altering font sizes/border sizes/resolution, and nothing seems to work.

Can someone help please?

Cheers,
Andy

Not sure if you have gone to this yet, but with an internet window open, go to "tools" pull down list, then "Internet Options" on the bottom. Once you are there, there are a number of tabs at the top that you can go through.

Also, try your "help" button on the top, pick the search box, and type in a word or two relating to what you want to do. Many times it will show examples of what to do or toggle. Its all in the words you search for.

Also, with an internet window open, if there is a "view" pull down list, and there is a "zoom" button click on that and start with the 150% setting and then work either way from that.

You can also find some appearance sizing controls in the "Control Panel" which comes up in a list if you click on the "start" button on the bottom left of your screen. If you can't find it, key in control panel in the search box in the help section.

If text is too big try holding the Ctrl key on the keyboard and scrolling with your mouse wheel.
