Hello colleagues,
does anyone have any details of Pakistan landmines P2Mk1 or P4Mk1? I would appreciate a detail of fuze. Is a difference between these mines only color?
The P4Mk1 uses a white plastic safety cap that screws onto the outside of the body. The P2Mk1 does not have this feature. The P2Mk1 uses an internal safety disc that must be removed before use by unscrewing the pressure plate. (I think it also uses a safety pin that goes through the pressure plate.)
The detonator for the P2Mk1 is internal, and can only be removed after unscrewing the pressure plate. The detonator for the P4Mk1 is screwed into the base and can be removed without removing the pressure plate.
The color and markings will be different, but the most obvious difference in external appearance is that the P4Mk1 has large threads molded into the body for the safety cap. The P2Mk1 does not have this. Also the P2Mk1 does not have a detonator that screws into its base.
This info is from Jane's Mines and Mine Clearance. Hope it helps.
