Pair of shells for ID please.

A couple of unidentified items from Beltring.....

First off, this apparent solid-shot:

No visible markings. 75mm diameter, 225mm high. Driving band recess is exactly 1 inch wide.
 
Second item.....

75mm diameter, 245mm from base to bottom of fuse, 330mm to tip of fuse.
No visible stampings.

Marked "O.S. 8227 /45 RL", "Plug Rep No. 117 Fuse" with a large "19" stamped alongside.
 
Last one, although it's not really unidentified as such.....

Originally marked "No230 IV N VAL 1942 79 VAD 11/42", which was struck out and replaced with:"PLUG, FIRING CON.1.N. No230.RL. 1-48"

Below that is a small F in a square, beside a broad arrow.

Completely empty internally.

I've been informed that although these seem to have come from an Army firing range before being FFE'd and used as path edgings on the same camp, they may have originally been Royal Navy rounds.

Hope that assists any would-be identifiers. ;)

Not 76mm your pointed shell?

Your pointed shell, one of mine is 76mm, not 75, and Is about 227mm lenght
Large driving band with two grooves like Vavasseur
An other groove under the driving band for fixing case
It's seem to be the same of your
Perhaps 17Pr? no stamp on body
Perhaps 76mm US? same driving band but no found in datas

Hi its definitely not 17 pr, that has a double driving band.

I'm sure that the APT shell is US M79 for 3 in AT gun
(see British&American Artillery WW2 Ian V. Hogg)
