Maybe he can see it's a fired cart case? Maybe it's totally blocked up and rusted? Maybe there's no working parts? One of those grey areas?
 
update, the seller got back to me and said the .303 round has been checked out and is totally safe - so all's well regarding that. (better safe than sorry, so to speak)

......and of course there is the point of it being illegal to remove any item from an aircraft(RAF) wreck for commercial purposes,ie to sell it!
