Not long ago I "discovered" a Luftschutz "Mother and Child" Gasjacket.
I realized how rare this item was, and wanted to have it displayed where people could see for years to come.
Well, a museum in Berlin, Germany have put it on display and I was delighted to donate it to the museum.
It's in a display that shows/tells of the underground air raid shelters in Berlin during the war.
The jacket hood was connected from the mother to the child via a pipe and helped with the breathing through the thick smoke.
First three pictures show it in my possession, and the last two show it on display in Berlin.
The Museum is excellent and well worth a visit.
