OM-1 info needed

I would ask the same question !
The metallic boxes in the wooden one let me more think on electronic spareparts boxes or something else, but not on ammunition boxes !
The closing systems of these boxes are not similar with ammunition boxes.

Yoda

Of course this one is empty if somebody is interested I have 1 for sell. Regards Ben

Waow, again something new for me !
Have you more info apart ordata ?

No Yoda, I'm sorry.

The only further info is that the mine is formed by 3 modules, the central is the control unit, the others are the explosive charge containers.

If Ben has the user manual .... ;-) ;-)

Regards

From a Russian Document:

Designation: OM-1ShM (Obektnaya Mina)
Made in Bulgaria
Total weight: 64kg
Net. expl.: 47kg
Measurements: 925x235x235
Fuze: timer, electronic (remark: supposedly booby trapped)
Required setup time. 5 min
Arming delay: 5-8 min.
Manufacturer: Kintex (remark: this was a Bulgarian trade company)

There is a similar device which is radio controlled (and booby trapped), has Russian markings on the control panel.
Here so far (to my very limited knowledge) no nationality of origin was identified.
The Ordata CD had a drawing of it (just in the image folders not on the normal user interface).
These were known from former GDR stocks but as said no background info.
If desired I can post the drawing and ID request in a separate thread.

It isn`t Russian, it`s Bulgarian! Bulgarian has cyrillic too, but absolutly another language.

Have you seen the markings on that device?

I am talking about this one. The known nickname is "Tintyava" (ink stand):

The brief operator's instruction is clearly in Russian. The appearance and writing, script etc. doo look like it was written by "non Russians". So it might be made elsewhere or it is in fact Russian and was intended to not look Russian to investigators. Some design features of this device are Russian (when compared to similar devices like the PD-430).

Here the Russian PD-430 for comparison:

Have you seen anything on Bulgarian??? And have you seen bulgarian alphabet??? They have cyrilyc letters, but nothing more.
I don`t think OM-1ShM made in USSR. I can`t explaine why instruction could be on Russian (if upper picture with instruction for OM-1), but in any sources I sow it`s Bulgarian.
Upper picture with instruction for PD-430 or OM-1?
Radioline PD-430 and other from this seria simillar with foreing devices and of cource with Warsaw pact, but soviet dariomines used and partizans during WWII.

The instruction I posted is from the Tintyava not the Bulgarian OM-1 of which noone is arguing as for it's origin.
And yes I can tell apart Bulgarian from Russian.

What is it Tintyava? Special bulgarian radiomine or what? That, what you posted on first picture?
And I know that domestic devices used and in Soviet Army. For example, in CZ soviet forces was useing Czech mine, not soviet. Probably in Bulgaria was simillar situation and with this special mine Tintyava. And Soviet special forces time to time visited cuntries of Warsaw pact for changing of expirience.
