I have had this for a few years, almost looks like the projectile part is homemade? The 2 copper bands are almost like snap rings because they split / have a seam. The brass tip unscrews and where the projectile goes into the brass is knurled. The shell length is 4". Total length with proj. is 8 3/8". No marking that I can find anywhere.
Added pictures....I removed the end...(gracefully with pliers)...it has fins, lots of machining marks. I am sure this is something someone has fashioned and used a brass shell to mount it in. For whatever reason.
I can't remember where I bought this, but I think I paid to much!!
Any input would be appreciated.
