That lots all good Dano, you must have put in a lot of hard work to make it all look like that. An excellent effort. Thanks for showing it all.
What's next? A couple of rail gun shells to stand at the front?

Dave.

9.45 trench mortar

Found a 9.45 trench mortar the other day, passed on to Police and RLC EOD from Chilwell came and dealt with the item. Turned out it was a practice one.
I am after any diagrams of the shell its self for site briefings as we will be here for another 3 weeks and chances are will find further items as it was a WW1 training range.

Hey Dano,

Looks nice so far! Hey, have you thought about taking a drive into the country and asking a farmer/rancher for some old barbed wire that you could use around the top of your bunker? It would add a lot of realism.

barbed wire

Excellent idea John, I love it. In fact I know where there is a massive pile of barbed wire just for the taking, Rick is going to give me some corrugated tin when I get out to Arkansas to visit him. The wife and I are planning a trip to Arkansas in early spring to visit the gravesites of her family (her mother, 2 sisters and a brother were all killed in a tornado when she was 7 years old). Also am starting to amass relic mess tins, canteens and the like for "no mans land sprinkles". Also going to add 1 more small room for WW2 only and that should about take up any extra basement space I have. Keeps me off the streets and out of trouble. Going to St. Louis this morning to pick up my WW2 Nazi police helmet and have some WW2 German ordnance on the way (PZGR40 and sprenggranate rifle grenade). Thanks again John for the totally excelllent idea. Best to you and yours...Dano

I love it! Great looking bunker & trench.
I wish I had the room to do something similar!

Well done!

Cheers,
Brad

heartfelt thanks

A heartfelt thanks to all for the positive comments and suggestions. It was/is a true labour of love and the best part is all the materials used were free (stuff lying around, abscounded from town dump, and pallates borrowed from behind local grocer.) I seem to have untold amount of time and very little money. Green as it gets. Thanks so much again...Dano
