Hi Ben,
Now that is a very nice and seldom projectile. I geuss that there is a pretty bunch that would love to have in it their collection. Is there anyone with any documentation about this projectile.

Regards

Frank

Thank you Ben for sharing your pictures of such an excellent item.

I don't think I have seen a German Sabot AP projectile before.

Do you know what gun it was for as I would have assumed a Flak gun would have had more than enough velocity for a normal 12.8cm Pzgr or Pzgr 43 projectile?

Thank you
PC

Very interesting in 12,8cm.
The german designation is "Flanschgescho", that might be a flange projo. A sabot projo looks different.
Iam not sure - may be flange projo is the designatin for squeeze bore sytem projos?

Hey Ben,

12,8 cm to sub cal. 8,8 cm Flanschengeschoss Panzer I presume ?
Must admit, i'm "a mere tad jealous".

Absolutely beautiful projectile, is it fitted with a normal BdZ fr 8,8cm PzGr ?
Iff you ever feel like getting rid off it, drop me a line will you

Menno.
