Im looking for help identifying these two cartridge case. I was told that they may be modern Nato German but i have nothing to base this on!
Lenght:631mm, Base:111mm,Mouth:85mm.
I would be very greatful for an information you may have!
Thanks.

These are Polish made 85mm AT and tank gun cases (Russian design). All made post war.

Thanks again EOD. I actually work on a "MAN" Roland printing press, interesting! Im delighted with the all the information and if you have any more that would be great, or point me in the right direction and ill research myself.
Thanks again.

I buy cartridge cases because i am interested in their background and i enjoy researching them.
Weapons which fired it?
What does each head stamp mean?
What does the stenciling mean?
I don't expect you to take the time to answer all these questions so that's why i asked for a point in the general direction.
Thanks again.

As a quick answer:
The cases are for the D-44 field gun and also for the T-34/85 tank and the Model of 1939 AA gun of that time (not sure if the Poles had the AA guns).

Your cases were once loaded with the UBR-365K AP projectiles. See here:

Head stamps:
6 = factory
8 60 = lot 8 from 1960
11 59 = lot 11 from 1959

The black markings on the cases also indicate that they were loaded by the same factory which produced them.
