My Collection

At the risk of hogging the site!! thought it was about time put up a few pics of my assortment.
Bit ecclectic but am trying to now stick to 0 - 40mm max!!
1st pic of mainly 40mm Bofors L60 & one L70 mostly only resin projectiles unfortunately.
2nd mostly 20mm, Hispano, Oerlikon etc, several 2cm Flak, 25mm, 30mm, 37 pom pom etc
3rd of my assorted .50 collection
4th Of my larger cases
5th is of some of my favourites. The three in the links on the left next to the .50 spotters are .50 Vickers including a chromed & dimpled drill round. Next to them is my personal favourite - a Kynoch 1939 16mm case never been primed or had a projectile fitted.

The rest!!

1st two are of my SAA in stippers/loading clips & some assorted links - mostly WWI & WWII
Last 3 are of my other assorted mainly SAA.
All of this lot & the other items I need to catalogue as well as cleaning & giving a good coat of WD40 at least.
Some projectiles I would like to repaint & stencil.

Secret Squirel? You are letting us know your age, All the great things he had that wer fantasies, are now fact. Well , except for the giszmo he could drop a button in, and the machine would generate an image of the person who lost it, but they are close to that one. the moving map thing is in most new cars now as standard equipment.

Nice stuff Hicky, I like the display cabinet, the green is well effective at showing off the rounds.
Thanks for showing them.
Dave.

you hog away mate
great pictures!
you can never have enough pictures.

gets me going like a page 3 model does:tinysmile_kiss_t4:

p.s. dont use wd40 anymore as ive found (which is the way it works) it leaves a layer on stuff that in time discolours brass and nearly impossible to remove.

Cheers for the tip about the WD 18 Pdr - I`ll use aeroshell 3 instead.
SG500 - the cabinet is dated & marked WD 1906 - it`s an old Guardroom Orders & Bulletins Board. It still has the cork backing so I put green felt on it to highlight my items.
Thanks for you appreciation

V40 I think you might be on about the vinyl chinook & cougars?? in the last pic?
They are on a vertical stab for an Army Air Corps Gazelle helo. It hit power wires in Basra I was the AAC`s only casualty!! I rebuilt the whole helo as someone decided it had to be done!!
