My collection of aircraft and AA ammunition.

Oficially I've only been collecting for about 1,5 years, but I was fortunate enough to meet a lot of awesome people in our association (NVBMB) that held on to my stuff until I got the paperwork done (in NL you need a permit and an exemption to be allowed to collect ordinance, even if it's inert. Only dummy's are free to have). This way I had a headstart at building up my collection, and once I got my papers I already got myself a nice little collection. And ofcourse it steadily kept growing since then.
So let's show some pictures.
Let's start with the big stuff!
4e1a3979a9f67bf5d1c763b2f5c63ada.jpg

From the back, left to right; 12,8cm Flak40 (restored); 8,8cm Flak41; 10,5cm SK C/32 (strictly a DP gun), a 10,5cm APCBC projectile sits in front; 8,8cm Flak18/36/37 (restored); 9cm Cannone da 90/53; 75mm M3/M4/T13.

The smaller stuff in the front rows:
7f775170a4356e433f0a461a6fd7392a.jpg

From the left to the right: 5cm Flak41 with a partly restored TP round; 5cm Pak39/BK5 w/ APC, 5cm BK5 Minengranate.
In the foreground you see a restored 5cm Flak41 HE-T projectile, a cutaway 5cm TP-T round for the same weapon, and a Pak39/BK5 HE projectile.

So far the big stuff. Now comes the smaller calibers.
An overview:

(Yes, that is a customized BILLY, and as you can see, I'm going to need a second one...)

I'll post more soon!

Top shelf, top row; 10 different 7,92x57mm cartridges; 2x 7,5x54mm French; 2x 6,5x55mm Arisaka Type 38; 7,7x58mm Arisaka Type 99; 2x 7,63x25mm Mauser; 8mm Breda (got 20 of those, which I plan to put in the Breda clip you see in the top right of the picture); 7,92x107mm Maroszek; several different Italian 12,7mm Breda cartridges and their corresponding cutaways; Japanese 12,7x81mmSR with Ma102 Fuseless Explosive/Incendiary projectile; Belt of 6 13x64mmB MG131 rounds.

Bottom row; several different 7,92x57mm Mauser cartridges with corresponding cutaways (except for the S.m.K. Üb. Zerl. those are more rare than chickenneck leather boots), and I still need a Platzpatrone to put there aswell (don't wat to pull one out of a complete box). Next is a 7,7x56mmR Italian API round; 6x 7,7x56mmR Japanese cartridges; 4x 7,7x58mmSR Japanese (I'll talk about these in more detail in a bit); 7,92x57mm Japanese; 13x64mmB HE-night tracer (at least, I think it's a night tracer since the red band above the driving band is quite dark); 13x64mmB Incendiary.

Top row; MG-FF; 15mm APCR/Hartkern; several different 20mm AP projectiles, among wich an APCR/Hartkern and aluminium projectile; Hispano cutaway; MG-FF with beltlinks; MG151/20 Belt; 2x 15mm MG151
Bottom row; several kinds of 20x82mm MG151/20 cartridges, with corresponding cutaways (I'm still working on an API and APHE cutaway); 7,92x94mm
Far right; 30x184mmB Hartkern cutaway, Hartkern Üb (APCR-TP) and Hartkern Üb Cutaway

On the next shelf I got some mic. stuff:
b83f140a0b7e372059c6aebd864add74.jpg

The Hotchkiss clip in the left front misses 2 cartridges. I 'borrowed' them to complete my 7,7mmSR set from the top shelf. There are some experimental 'Leuchtgranaten' in there as well. :)
But the best part is the cartridge on the front right. That is an unfired 30x115mm experimental TP cartridge of the Japanese Airmy Airforce. For me this was a one in an million opportunity, and I can honestly say it was one of my Holy Grails! You can also see the 20mm API and APHE cutaways I was talking about earlier.
Close-up of the boxes on the left:

Apart from one 9x19mm box all of them are full, and I'm still missing a couple (I'm purely collecting on technical differences), but I'm happy with my stash so far.

To be continued..

The next shelf:
158a8f6c2bd311f8b32456692b7ba261.jpg

30x184mmB casing, awaiting a suitable projectile; German 37x94mmR HE cartridge wich corresponding cutaway; Japanese Navy 25mm Type 96 shell and a complete cartridge next to it; 2x 20x142mm Type 98 rounds with transport tube; an assortment of 20x138mmB cartridges with a nice set of cutaways next to them.

Next shelf:
ec4ff70fefe32a189a58f7a21bc74941.jpg

No, it's not what you think, it's a 3,7cm Flak18 dummy! The loos projectile is a Minengranate 18 and I'm still looking for a shellcasing (single crimp) for it. Next to it you can see an assortment of MK108 cartridges, and again I tried to get my hands on corresponding cutaways.

To be continued...

Next up, magazines and drums and such.
MG13 box with magazines with a MG34 anti-air ammo box behind it and underneath a box with 20mm Flak30/38 magazines:

60 and 30 round MG-FF drums:

60-round Madsen drum:

An then there's this
0d604c182e52f47f3f1bb0658a728b99.jpg

What you see here is a EU deactivated M.53 (because they are cheaper than a MG42), and some aircraft bits 'n pieces, all German (except for the 12,7mm Breda belt ofcourse).

And speaking about bits...

Chunk of crankshaft and pinion gear from a DB605 engine.

Chunk of cylinder bank of a DB605 engine.:proud:

In the next post I'll get back to the Japanese 7,7mm cartridges.

Now, back to the Japanese 7,7mm rounds, lets start with a close-up.

#75 has a guilding metal jacket were all the others have a CN jacket. Now for the types of bullet. The color of the laquer ring around the primer indicates the type of bullet. So...
#75/Black - Ball
#76/Black - Ball
#77/Red - Tracer
#78/White - AP
#85/Green -Incendiary pattern 1
#86/Purple - Explosive Incendiary pattern 2
According Ken Elks book my set of 7,7mm Rimmed is now complete, except for the dummy that is.
916a2182aa3e3223c56218c6cd5ad525.jpg

Now the 7,7mmSR:
175fde750cb5c6d615cf2e63a8c5e920.jpg

I hadn't catalogued them yet when I took this picture, but on the top of the picture you can see the different loadings that were used, so that set should also be complete (even though I had to pull 2 cartridges from a clip).

Well, that's my collection so far. When I get new stuff I'll make sure to post it here.

Unbelievable! A magnificent collection, arrangement, and display!

What is the blue gas bottle by the M.53?

@ Jason and HAZORD, thank you guys very much voor the replies! :D

@ HAZORD, that is a Luftwaffe compressed air bottle. Usually each fixed gun in an aircraft had a bottle for charging the weapon.
I've attached 2 technical drawings of the nose gun compartment of a Bf110 that shows the location of the bottles.
