Mine Fuze question

Has anyone heard of a UMP-3144 AT landmine fuze? I was asked by a friend of mine if I had ever heard of this type of fuze. I am not sure where he heard the information. Can anyone fill me in?

I don't have any pictures of the item, just a phone conversation.

Joe, what about more details? How it looks like and so on, because you have had phone convesation and person on another side I think should described it.
UMP - simillar with Soviet and Yugo name.

The "3144" is no part of a fuze designation when Russian (often interpreted as part of the item's designation by unexperienced people). Fuzes and Engineer munitions in Russia have the lot number starting with the factory code (pattern is: factory-lot-year).
Not to forget that other ordnance (depending which type) has the lot number in a different arrangement then (lot-year-factory).
So "3144" (in Latin "Z144", means factory No.144) would be a Russian factory code. Namely of "KZTM" Kazan Precision Machinery of Kazan.
Their product profile is also related to several engineer fuze variants but I can not find anything similar (given the Russian Cyrillic to English Latin transliteration of your friend was correct). It would be helpfull to get proper images of the item and the full lot data in order to say more.

I will see what I can come up with. As of right now I don't have anything other than the conversation. It was a translation from cyrillic that I do know. If I get anything else I will push it to you guys ...

Thanks thus far guys,

Joe

UMP was only one soviet fuze - for controlling minefields. I think it`s Soviet, but in that time american sappers didn`t know soviet devices well.
