Mine clock !

Hi everyone I’ve had this clock mechanism for over 40 years !a few years back it was identified as that of part of a British mine !unfortunately I’ve lost the paperwork for it
can anyone identify it please

The base looks very much like the old three pin (round) plugs (or lighting circuit plugs) except the Live and Neutral are transposed.

Other than the pheon, are there any other marks on it?

Hi Tim. No unfortunately there are no makers marks on the mechanism other than the War Office crows foot , from memory when it was identified it was from a British mine , I’ve looked through my manuals but nothing shows.
 
I have a couple of the very same ,one in a tinplate tin .Was told many years ago that these were timers for old street gas lights.Never been able to prove /disprove that
