MD-5 and MD-5M Russian Detonators

Can anyone tell me and show me the difference between the MD-5 and MD-5M. I have looked at several different manuals and documents and cannot figure out what the difference is. Even the shapes are different in some documents.

I am confused and thought maybe someone out there can clarify the differences ... maybe showing the differences.

Thanks,

Joe

Here is what I am looking at ... maybe this might help.

Great ... So now I am even more messed up. Do you have a picture of the MD-5 if that is the MD-2?

Ivan ... I cannot find them. I thought I had them, but when I looked I couldn't find anything.

In my first mail I gave pictures from manuals for MD-5 (left) and MD-5M (right). Both pictures from original manuals, but in the same moment modern photos of MD-5M show as that they look like really like MD-5!

But in the same moment and in manual (printed in 1963) MD-5M looks like and in the book, which prined in 1976.

Conclusion:
1. Differences between MD-5 and first MD-5M you can see on picture in my first mail.
2. After some time (I think not early, as middle of 1970th), MD-5M looks like MD-5, but I think without laquer near blasting cap (but I`m not sure, that it`s very good significant difference).

Interesting thread going ... all the differences. Between the different threads (some near the cap / some don't), lacquer or no lacquer.
Confusing things to ID if they are not in their packages.
