Links and belts

Spent the better part of this afternoon touring the facility that crafts the latest rendition of the Tippmann 1/2 scale 1917, 1919 and M2 machine guns. They are offered in .22 LR, .22 Mag and .17HMR calibers, semi-auto or full. Considering where I live; the boondocks, middle of nowhere, it's odd that the latest offerings are manufactured just down the road from me. lakesideguns.com is the webpage.

Anyway, I was able to score a few goodies from the tour that may be of interest to a couple of folks here. Mainly, the belts and links used to feed the guns. The plastic links are infused/molded with metal and are magnetic. For strength. The cloth belt is woven with loops vs two sewn strips of cloth. A very expensive option, but the only thing that works. Sewn ones, he says, last only about two or three uses. These woven versions are "bullet-proof".
