It sucks when you have to sell your collection to survive

I just auctioned off two of my prize collection pieces
My AT4 round and tube and my m72 LAW tube and round.
It was a hard decision to make but you got to do what you got to do.
Maybe some day I can replace them Gonna miss them.
Oh well at least the tax man won't screw with me

I hear you loud & clear mate - this side of the pond as well as your side is being hit hard. I am having to do the same thing which is breaking my heart. All the best WF

Hi Ordman and Warface,Not a lot can be said that is constructive other than to say it is a shame that you have to take such drastic measures, you have my sympathy and scincere hope that in the near future your situations improve and that you will be able to resume collecting,
Regards,Don,

This will not help, but its better than having them stolen.
I have gone through both ,now 10 years latter, lifes good and I have most everything back and more.So not all is lost as long as you dont lose that love of what you collect.

Unfortunately, I am in the same boat. Hard times, breaking even each month, family to feed etc. The collection has had to go, but I am happy that the pieces I sell will go to another collection. Like everything, it all goes round in a big circle, and I am confident that when I am in better times, I will probably end up owning some of the bits I have sold this time round. Rock on and life goes on. Selling my collection off is nothing compared to some peoples problems (plus it saves ages on dusting it all)

I hear yah
I have no doubt that in the future I will be in better strieghts and will re-aquire the pieces
Like my bud said thats why you collect so when you need the cash you got something to deal with
And you're also right on the dusting and oh yeah the brass polishing
