Iranian Military Photographs

Hi Pete,Thanks for posting those very interesting pics,I have to wonder if some of the vehicles are as effective as they look, for instance, during the recent Libyan conflict there were lots of pickup trucks fitted with twin 20mm cannon fixed to the bed of the truck, when fired the recoil rocked the entire truck which must have made it almost impossible to hit anything smaller than a very large barn,I see in your pics a station wagon type 4X4 with twin (possibly)20mm cannon on the roof, all that weight that high above the centre of gravity would make it very interesting at the very least to drive and the amount of sway caused by the recoil of the guns firing would make the gunner seasick,
I note also that a lot of the vehicles are on conventional tyres which would restrict their mobility except on firm roads, despite that they do have a vast array of weaponry,
Thanks again for showing,
Regards,
Don,

Nice pics, good for modelers. Any idea what the websites purpose is? Is it run by and for Iranians? If you look on the forums everything is written in remarkably good English. Is it a propaganda tool for western consumption?

Hi EOD,Thanks for putting me straight re 23mm cannon,I know,,,I should have gone to specsavers,,,,I still think it would be quite entertaining to see if the gunner could hit anything after the first rounds left the barrel,
Regards,
Don,
