IRA hand grenades...

Hi Grenadier,

very interesting, any more pictures? I have what i think is an 'interesting' gren but no idea who made it.

Different shape and fuze Paul.

Ime sure mine would have been intended for use by similar types but as the 'bastard thing' cant talk i guess we will never know.

Hello,
Only this bad picture from the official web-page. Ah, I should not forget this mould for Mills casting too (off topic :)

I also thought, that they were given some more modern day grenades in addition to the ones shown here that reminds me of a reassembled Viet Cong's "Jungle Workshop". I also seem to of remembered that they had a lot of AR-18's? How did they get those rifles? Can anybody give me the 411 on these questions?

The IRA got weapons from many sources, including the USA. In the USA many Americans gave money to the IRA and it was used to buy weapons. IIRC the AR18's came from the USA.

So, I see. I now believe what organization here in the states supplied the money and guns. SpudGun PM me when you can

Paul, that is really neat. You can see a few parts from other Grenades being used. Now I am curious to know there failure rate.
