I also thought, that they were given some more modern day grenades in addition to the ones shown here that reminds me of a reassembled Viet Cong's "Jungle Workshop". I also seem to of remembered that they had a lot of AR-18's? How did they get those rifles? Can anybody give me the 411 on these questions?

The IRA got weapons from many sources, including the USA. In the USA many Americans gave money to the IRA and it was used to buy weapons. IIRC the AR18's came from the USA.

Not too off topic as the IRA did make some Mills type bodies and others like a Mills but without the shoulders.
