I am sure it is a base fuze for a naval 2 pounder dated 1941:neutral:

I found it on the Dorset coastal path at the back of Bindon hill so maybe 2 pounder from a tank. Thanks for the identification.

The shape looks right for a Hotchkiss base fuze. I know nothing more beyond that. XT

This is my hotchkiss mkVII base fuze, mine is from a 3pdr practice tank round ,im sure other members will be able to say what other projectiles these were used with
