Identification of 15,5cm projectile

Hello,

Does anybody know the name the canon which was used to fire this projectile?

It's 15,5cm in diameter and about 41cm long. It currently weighs 33kg(empty).

It looks like a U.S. fuze. It also looks like a fairly old projectile from WWI to WWII timeframe. I'm thinking U.S. 155mm Howitzer.
