It`s Ukranian Army, not russian.Yoda, would be very cool if you will give link where exactly you found it. I see this photos from official web-site of Ukranian Ministry of Defence, but what the date?
It means that it could be Ukranian shell, because here makes some new modern shells and not only shells ;)

Ivashkin

In the middle picture of the first post I think you can see one of the slots where a forward fin is stowed.

Your picture shows the shell as it would look after firing in the flight mode with the fins deployed.

The first post shows the shell prior before firning.

the pictures are on www.mil.gov.ua

A-a-a-a it new news!Sorry, I haven`t looked on right side of web-site :tinysmile_tongue_t:
No, it isn`t Krasnopol!
It`s testing of new Ukranian HE shell "Kvitnik". On web-site you can`t see video and how shell looks like and that it has few parts and how they compared.

Glevum, Ukraine has a quite huge arms and ammunition industry which of course dates back to Soviet times. Back then there were quite a lot of guided weapons developed there and the process still goes on.

Thanks to all and specially on Ivashkin. very helpfull answer.

But I have a little problem that you can probably explain !
When I Google with "Kvitnik" , I find a site where I can see this shell
http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product3178.html
... and the rear fins are not the same !
Have you an explanation for this ?

Yoda, I noticed it too.
Shell on your link and on video have few differents. Probably on your photo and photos which I have seen (I sow on Ukranian Wiki this projectile too) old modification, but on video should be new!
I think Kvitnik has few versions, but I don`t know exactly which. This shell new and I think soon will appeare new information.
