Anybody recognize the manufacturer ID for this 1939 dated flare case (24,5 mm caliber, 100 mm length)?

If I can good read, it's AW or WA ?

For AW I have : "ACME Wringers, Glasgow, UK"
For WA I have : "Hugo Schneider A.G., Leipzig, Germany"
