Huge shell case

Hello!
I have a very large brass shell case. Iv tried to identify it by the headstamps but I can’t find anything that matches my shell.
It’s 46.5 inches long and 6.25 inch in diameter at the projectile end. What looks like a rolled thread looks more like a crimp. Here’s some photos. Does anyone know what gun it’s from?

Just as well the case wasn't made by Currans of Cardiff, as you might have been tempted to repeat some of the salacious remarks made by the factory women towards visiting apprentices from Chepstow, making it prudent the latter were chaperoned.

Always puzzled as to why the Admiralty would choose to use ferrous cartridge cases in a maritime environment.
