A few pics of some 20mm Hispano cannon replicas to be fitted into a D.H. Mosquito FB.VI rebuild nearing completion in New Zealand.
These are 1/1 scale solid,non functioning,and once painted up very realistic.

The smile is real though! :tinysmile_grin_t:

Awesome job! Wish other museums would care so much for their displayed weapon systems.

Once so much effort has been taken to make these I wonder if there was no way to phosphate or blue them as the real guns were?

When they are painted, they look better than real! Pics don't really do them justice.
And these will be flying in the Mosquito.
 
Tony Agar's mossie has 4 similar replicas fitted, it can be seen at The Yorkshire Air Museum Elvington. It should be doing engine runs soon....
