I'm looking for some assistance in identifying this small transport container.
The story is that this has a chemical connection, but the source of this information is unknown and so far completely unconfirmed. The container is small, about 10cm tall by 13cm in diameter. The only stamped marking is a very small 7 on the top of the container body. On the outside wall you can barely make out faded stenciled numbers: 812491. On the inside lid the number is repeated hand written, underneath it is the remnants of the stencilled marking which appears to be "Kontrolliert" in faded yellow. The marking looks typical of WWII German markings. This is all that is known.
The purpose of the container seems to be short distance transport. If the story attached is to be believed, perhaps for transport of small quantities of lab materials (agent) from bulk storage to the lab? Any help in identification would be appreciated.
