I have received some complaints today ref drops in post counts and wish to post this to make it clear as to what happened and why some members post counts have dropped to try save me getting more earache,
Today some of you may have a noticed a drop in the number of posts you have made..
The reason for this is today a member who had been questioned if an item he had posted was live or not, as the moderators suspected it was,,
as you all know the posting of live or dug items is not permitted unless the member is ordnance approved etc as per bocn rules and guidelines which are posted in several places on site....
the member responded by wanting his account deleted and all posts pictures etc he had made removing,,so i had to remove all threads STARTED by him some with lots of responses by fellow members..
so apart from spoiling things for fellow members this will have also resulted in some members who replied to his posts ,having their post counts been reduced,,,
occasionaly personal post counts may be reduced if a member asks for a thread they started to be removed for other genuine reasons (not just spitting out their dummys)
or as in the case of the TIP OFFS section every month we clear out posts older than a month to save giving dead links as the tip offs are usually posts for auction sites and the items have ended.(this is stated in a sticky at the top of the tip offs section)
