German Rifle Grenade?

I know nothing about these types of grenades and am looking for as much info as possible about this item from the given photos. How is it used, what the markings mean, value, any other info about it, etc, etc.

I have been sent these photos and this info...


German rifle grenade with sprung loaded nose cap.

The base is plastic with drive band grooves manufactured on it.

Inside the base cap it has markings on it shown in the diagram in the photo.
