German M71/84 11mm

In closed are pictures of 10 German M71/84 11mm cartridges in the original box. The M71/84 was an 8 round tube feed bolt action rifle thus the reason for flat nose bullets for safety reasons. Ammo for the single shot M71 had pointed bullets. Note the dome shape base of the cartridge and the rather large size of the primer (1/4 inch in diameter)

Perhaps interesting to know, your box was not made by an ammo factory.
Components were sold by ammo factories and loaded in these state artillery depots.

Also foreign companies were involved, for example;

NA ; National Arms Birmingham 1875
SA ; Small Arms Factory 1875/76
