Hi gents
Picked up some cases at Waterloo & been trying to get some info on them both as the big caliber stuff is not my thing.
I have used the search facility here & unfortunately have nothing definitive from the site!!??
The first case is 562mm tall with 88mm at the neck top edge. Headstamp is Juli 1918 Patronfabrik Karslruhe with couple of flaming grenades between these words at 3 & 6. 114 at 12 o`clock. Primer is unstruck with Kp.7.18. I know what the headstamps mean just trying to find out what gun it was for.
Unfortunately there is some deformation to the neck so not sure if this has been messed about with (trench art!!??). There are signs inside the neck of something having been seated inside.

The other is I think a 10.5 case. The top of the neck though is measuring at 10.7mm (internal dia) this though has been fired so this might account for increase? Height is 445mm. Headstamp is 1916 @ 3. 5 @ 12. P131 @ 9. 6349 @ 6 with waff stamp eagle WaA270. Primer stamped Rh.s. 550G. C\12 nA.
I have a nasty suspicion this may have been cut down?

Thanks in advance gents

Hi T.,

Both cases have the correct length. They are a WW1 Flak L/45 and a 10 cm Kanone 18 (the date is probably 1936 and not 1916). The latter one is a nice one!
