Mk 73 VT-RF Fuzes
I was unable to find the OP2215 publication I was looking for, however, I did manage to find a little information on the Mk 73 VT-RF Fuze.
The latest model of fuze in the series, is the Mk 73 Mod 13. The fuze has solid state electronics and contains an impact switch to ensure a point detonating back up to the primary radio proximity functioning mode should the proximity element fail to function. The Mod 13 is a non-self-destroying (NSD) fuze and is identified as such by having a green plastic nose.
NOTE - Non-self-destroying fuzes in this series carry odd-numbered Mods, eg, 9, 11, 13 and plastic nose pieces are coloured green. Self-destroying (SD) fuzes carry even-numbered Mods, eg, 8, 10, 12 and plastic nose pieces are coloured white.
All fuzes in the Mk 73 series have the wave suppression feature.
The exterior configurations of Mods 4 through 13 are identical with respect to thread, ogive and intrusion. Changes were made in the later mods to increase handling safety of the electric detonator and safety and reliability in gunfiring.
Unfortunately, I do not have any information specific to the Mod 10, but hope this helps.
