Hi There

I am Jay Howe from www.dugup.co.uk. I have joined the BOCN with a view of gaining some much needed knowledge on various fuzes and INERT ordinance that comes our way. Can any one please tell me what his fuse is, what type of shell it is from and what it is worth.

Regards

Jay

Hello Jay welcome to BOCN to me it looks like a no30 bomb fuze PISTOL .It is missing its internal arming fork etc It was used on many different sized bombs 250lb-4000lb
as its incomplete i would estimate it around 20
allan

if you have a look here you will see the Bakelite version of the no30 pistol and the internal parts that are missing from yours http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/no30-mkv-pistol-t23569.html

Hi Jay i can confirm what Spot said its a British no 30 pistol probably a Mk4 is it dated , no great value as these were the most common bomb pistols , and missing its internals , Spring striker , end cap , and arming vane.

Jay. The term "Fuze" is an item that contains explosive where "Pistols" never did. Just to save some confusion.
