Hi folks
I have been a member of this forum for quite a while and I though it was about time that I showed off some my babies. Theres nothing special here and i have repainted many of the scruffy ones but I love them all.

I should mention that the 88 AP is a complete imposter. Its a finnish case with a dummy projectile but it will have to do iuntil I sell a kidney and buy a real one!

Very nice !

Very nice selection of items Fred.
Unusual to see a 120 mm Mor Illum round, is a pukka Illumination bomb?

The paint jobs are very good for home mades-what is your secret?
Thanks for showing us.

Chris, the 120mm German mortar is a complete inert specimen. I bought it from Gerrythebomb on SA a few years ago and restored it. He is a great fellow to deal with by the way.

As for painting, i just use cellulose paints with a professional spraygun, or airbrush on the smaller ones. I use dry transfer letters but the discerning collectors will notice that they are not always the correct font. The letters are sealed with refurb varnish.

Thank you Fred

Thanks for the info Fred, very nice collection and I do like the 120mm Mortar as I have always had a soft spot for those.
Keep collecting !

Hi Fred,
Alway good to see other members collections, thank you for sharing it with us. In the 3rd picture on the right hand side you have what looks like a 2pr antitank case with a squeeze bore looking projectile in it, not one that i recognise, can you shed any light on it.
The Bofors 40mm/l70 rounds in the clip look great, lots of interesting items, the repaints look really good as well.
Best regards Weasel.

Sorry to disappoint you weasel, the 2pr projectile is a poor attempt at restoring a littlejohn. I probably didnt get it proportionally correct.
