Fired M72 Shot set ~ 1941/42

This post covers a projectile, a casing and a shipping tube, so I put it here rather than spread it out in three subsections.
This set has the shipping tube whose lot number matches the 1941 casing and likely the firesd shot did as well.
The band is gone so are the markings. I don't know who could reband it over here ? The primer is dated 1942 so
that would be when it was filled. I guess someone fired this and then took everything home.

I cleaned up the relic shot, one can see marks left by the rifling in remaining paint and scoring
from landing showing the rotation of the projectile at that moment.

Hi Gordon, interesting stuff. In the UK a relic means its been sat in salt water for 50 years.
This lot obviously belongs together so well worth rebanding and painting correctly. Considering how many 75mm rounds were made, its strange that they are nearly impossible to find in the UK in GC. Tig
