No takers on this?
I am surprised!

Well IMHO,its a nice late 17A with unusual bottom end. Also a lack of the 'A' is noticed on the top face.
Nicelely dated and in my eyes a damned fine pick up! :)

Hi Paul
The bottom is from a 1941 pattern (17) fuze Plastic sleeved i think that at sometime its been swopped over, it should be a (17)A with the single charging pin.

Thanks for that steve as it was a bit of a mistery at first.:tinysmile_shy_t:

No Problem Phil its a standard (17)A with the two pins one of which is a dummy , and has the clock housed in the plastic sleeve, which like the Zus40 2nd pattern was a disaster.

Interesting theory!
Is the whole of the case plastic then or just that odd looking bottom part?
also
How come i cant see the 'A' though? It doesnt look corroded in the place where it usually is?

The internal sleeving is all plastic still using old ally sleeves perhaps?
