Detonator box

I picked this up a couple weeks back and as of yet been unable to find any info on this. I'd like to know what the contents would have been and the usage of these detonators. Any pictures or other examples would be great to see. Cheers, SHAKY.det box 001.jpgdet box 002.jpgdet box 003.jpgdet box 004.jpg

Thanks for the info so far. One clue at a time will help. Was it the " watertight " that deems it a naval item ? I do know it is of Canadian manufacture. CR/C I believe is Defence Industries Ltd, Cherrier, Quebec. Thanks, SHAKY

Oh it couldnt be that simple. could it:bigsmile: ? Im just sittin back learning because I really havent a clue. Thanks again folks.

What could be some possibilities as to what these percussion detonators could be for? Any ideas? I really dont know where to start but I dont think artillery nor demolition as they are percusion actuated. Mines maybe? Secondary detonation of depth charges? Its just too difficult for me to stare at this box and wonder what may have been the purpose of these. Obsessed as always to find every ounce of info on these items. Its what keeps me going and I love it. I hope Im not boring anyone with this. Cheers , SHAKY.

Hi Shaky,
We are all constantly learning and not bored by your posts. There are a couple of boxologists around on BOCN who are as eager as you to know all the answers. Keep the questions coming!! Between us all we can probably put the jigsaw together.

Thanks Hangarman. I believe boxology to be an in depth study, one which I inadvertently signed up for. Im sure we will pass this course eventually. Any other guesses? Thanks again, SHAKY.
