Hi.
Took a lot of hunting but with good luck and
good friends i finally managed to get my 17a and Zus40
combination.
Have just got an SC500 which will do nicely.
Hi Satan18,
Thats a lovely fuze and anti withdrawl device, the more i see of these German bomb fuzes the more i want to get one or two for the collection, not that i need to branch off in another direction...
Best, Weasel.
Thanks Weasel
Was heavily into artillery myself until the german bombs and fuses came along.
sorta like stamp collecting one is not enough but more the fun in finding these trophys.
I have my 3 here Satan, ones a cutaway which is closer pictured in our `cutaway` section. The Zus40 is include too in the shots.
I think they are all `A` series though?,one or two have a different shape `a` on the top?
Thank you squire,I talked to the seller who tells me his pal did it.
I wish i could do them like that!
The really rough one may be getting the treatment shortly.
Did you see those minty clocks elsewhere in one of the forums?,They are all fully strippable and still have original ink on them!
i will try and find then bump the thread.
Hi Satan sorry i didnt reply to you earlier The original type (17) had an external clock and had a rubber band around the clock portion to A quiten the clock or B to stop moisture , which seems most probable.
When the 1940 pattern came out the clock was fitted inside the fuze
The emergency pattern! the one you have was produced with a steel lower case as aliminium was in short supply . its interesting to note that the original (17) had 2 charging pins whereas the (17)A only had one , there is only one charging circuit , so no need for the second pin.
