Hi, I have found the name SKZ in documents as early as 1928.
The fuze has SK mechanism with optional dealy, without the detonator safety.
I believe, no proof yet, that the german manual depicts only the SK mechanism.

The Czechoslovak army had such a fuze listed as "Ostry narazovy granatovy zapalovac vz. 30" in a post war document.
Unfortunately my copy has no pictures.
The fuze was also exported to Yugoslavia and Romania.
Jeff posted this pic in June last year:

Maybe he has a closeup :)

Hi,
the fuzes with SK mechanism have rounded protective cap on top. The ones with C mechanism have a flat top.
Please see attached picture.

I am not sure if this rule applies also on export fuzes.
Like the Yugoslav fuze on picture 2.

Hello Bob,
Very interesting, I had never noticed this detail about caps.
Thank you.
Regards

Hi Bob,

Now I understand, different cap for "C" percussion mechanism and "Sk" percussion mechanism.
