Designation of Czech fuzes
This is a designation used by Skoda factory. The military used the regular model (vzor) and year designation (vz. 30)
The Germans used the Skoda designation in their manuals.
Most common letters are:
V velky large (size of fuze)
M maly - small (size of fuze)
M minov mortar fuzes only
G granatovy - detonating fuze for HE projectiles (when time setting is possible)
P pancerovy - for AP projectiles
(not sure on this one)
H hlavovy point fuze (position on top of the projectile - PD)
D dnovy base fuze
C using the model C impact mechanism
SK using the SK impact mechanism
R rozbukova pojistka detonator safety
Z zpozdeni delay
O okamzity instantaneous
CHZR point detonating fuze with model C impact mechanism, optional delay and detonator safety
SKHZR point detonating fuze with model SK impact mechanism, optional delay and detonator safety
VG-CR large time and impact fuze for HE shells with C impact mechanism, and detonator safety
VG-SKR large time and impact fuze for HE shells with SK impact mechanism, and detonator safety
MG-CR small time and impact fuze for HE shells with C impact mechanism, and detonator safety
MG-R - small time fuze for HE shells with C impact mechanism, and detonator safety (no impact mechanism)
HO PD superquick
DVZR base fuze ?large? with optional delay and detonator safety

Most of the info I have is based on the documents Skoda factory prepared for the germans. There is a lot of fuzes that Skoda exported to Romania, Jugoslavia or Turkey. Some were in development only.
The Skoda fuzes are on top of my TO DO list.
