Hi
This was in the post when i came home today.

On package:

CRIMPERS, CAP
W/FUSE CUTTER M-2
1 PAIR
EA
DA-33-008-ORD-327
HENLEY FILSON CO.
NORTH VERNON
INDIANA
DATE PKD

At the very bottom there is a stamp with
MAR 19...
End of the package is missing, of course with the date!
Can anyone help with how old this is?

HENLEY FILSON CO on one side of the crimpers, US M2 on the other side.
Still covered in protective coating.

Any help greatly appreciated!
All the best

Hard to say, I have a set that is supposed to be Vietnam era that are cad. plated with the same name on them. I think the design goes back to WW2 for sure.:tinysmile_eyebrow_t Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Crimpers

Thanks for the info Gijunkman.
Just cleaned off the cosmoline, raw steel underneath, not blued or treated by the looks of it.
I've given it a good coat of oil for now.

Crimpers;

I used them in 1956 and gave them to my son when I retired.

I'm guessing they are postwar but great bit of kit none the less...

Know this is kinda late, but those crimper are Korean war era. I have a set I never got rid of, they were replaced with crimpers made of another metal and you'll find them in a light color or a brass color.

Interesting - the civilian demo community will not use them for cutting det cord even though the M2 has been used for that purposse since WWII. They say it isn't saf, hell in one day I cut over 2000 12" lengths for a job. Guess they think using these will crush crystals of PETN
