Seems like it with the markings at six o'clock, but I'm not sure and really not much of a case person, so I figure I'll put it out there for someone smarter than I am.

Not my area, but I think Ben is right. Note the date without the initial "1" and "CA" was an Italian inspector at the time, his initials being often found on 6.5mm Carcano cases.

75x277mmR Italian 75/26 Model 1906; I think. Made by Officine Di Villar Perosa, 1918. Hopefully Fert or Alpini will soon see this and provide more information. Nice case!

This case is definitely Italian. It looks to be the standard 75x277R size. This case was used in Krupp made guns which were used by many countries all over Europe. Cases in this size can be found with manufacturer's marks from many different countries.

really nice headstamp "Villar Perosa" - the famous company which made the Villar-Perosa machine gun (pistol). The official case lengt is 278 mm. "OCR" on the primer screw should be the "Officina di Costruzione di Artiglieria di Roma"
