Canadian Match ammo

peashooter

BOCN Supporter
I acquired some Canadian match ammo last weekend dated 20's and 30's, they have lots of different coloured bands can anyone give me any info on what all the different colours and bands mean.

many thanks

Richard.

Somewhere I have a list of the different colours by year. I will try yo find it for you. However, the headstamp year probably tells you all you need to know.

Regards
TonyE

I remember reading somewhere that each year had a different colour/band combination, I have 22 different ones and a few spares. It would be very helpful if I could have a list as some of the colours and bands are a bit faded & I would like to get hold of any missing combo's I don't have.

many thanks
Richard.

What a great post! I collect US Match ammunition, but I do have a very few of the Canadian cartridges. Finally being able to put a positive ID on them adds to their value to me. And, the color names are priceless.

Thanks
