Canadian 303 British Mark II

I am in the process of drawing Canadian 303 bundle details with the appropriate headstamp. Looking through my collection particularly for Mark II headstamp variations I found I had the normal D^C C II and surprised that I had a D^C II C with the C and II transposed from the normal position. Is this very common as I had some notes I received, I think, from Jim Russell many years ago, on Canadian headstamps but there is no mention of this variety. The font is mid size. No photo, sorry.

I don't have a transposed example and I don't think it is in the notes that you mention.

I would not place any great store on it though, as errors on bunters are sometimes made. I have examples of British rounds where the "C" and the Mark numeral are transposed and have found nothing different about them on breaking them down and weighing them.

I would be interested to see the results of your drawings.

Tony, Thanks for reply, will send a pdf of the drawings when I complete some.
The headstamp information I received was from John Torrens, not Jim Russell, back in 1971. Scan of both headstamp types.(Not as clear as I'd hoped).
