A large enhancement to the accumulation. Some fine specimens in the lot.

Slick, what can you tell me about this item that you received. We found something very like it at work this week.

Madbomber, thanks for answering LCpl's question, which helped me as well 'cause I did not know anything about it. And for the pics.

We are "entertaining" family this week, which is really cutting into my getting to play with and research this latest cache.

It was pointed out to me via email that the M28A2 3.5" bazooka rocket is probably one of the better examples in the lot. Am anxious to dig a little deeper into each piece to see exactly what's what. Acquired these from a list of pics, without any descriptions. A pig-in-a-poke sort of buy but no big worries as I'd dealt with the seller in the past.

As I said in my initial posting, these pieces have really enhanced my collection. Everything is near mint with a few exceptions, the "worst" condition pieces rating near excellent. I'm VERY happy.

Pointblank: I don't know yet. I'll start unscrewing things and post some pics of the illum. round sometime today.

Its probably not what we found but its almost identical. The thing we found was a smoke device, it had a red substance inside that smoked alot when match was applied. (by a competent person I may add, not me :D)

Here are pics of the illum, in pieces.

Thanks for the pics. From the first picture I thought it was British (didn't look properly). Nice condition though. You'll have to keep an eye out for a flare pod and parachute for it to finish it off nice. Great buy, took a gamble and won! Nice one

Cool score slick, what a fine array of stuff, musta set you back 1 or 2 stones. I imagine your collection is really coming along at this point...Dano

Yea, I'd really like to find some guts for the illum round. Maybe someone onboard has a source for them. Note the pictured sectioned round that IS complete, from a previous acquisition. Although missing a couple of pieces in the fuze, they will be installed shortly after disassembling a complete fuze recently received.

Dano

Yes, a near dumptruck full of "stones", as it were. Actually, tho, all these items came at a phenomenally low price, considering. Only one 'nade in the lot, but a very nice one. WW2 vintage tho, so of absolutely NO interest to you:wink:.

Hi slick, My interest actually runs across the entire spectrum, but with financial constraints and a real affinity for WW1 my choice was a no brainer. Make no mistake ordnance from all eras does interest me, I just must play the game within my means..Best my friend, Dano
