British WW1 6 pdr shell case

This will probably seem like a totally stupid question to most of you, but I need to know. I have a chance to get a dated WW1 British 6 pdr shell casing and have no idea as to the physical size of this case. I assume it is somewhat small, was wondering diameter of base, height etc. Thanks in advance for any help. Dano (Obviously i've never seen a 6 pdr before)

The photo below (from the Ammo Photo Gallery on my website) shows the WW1 6pdr 8cwt round (the 57x307R on the left). Case dimensions for most rounds of 12.7-120mm calibre are listed on the Ammo Data Tables on my site. The 306 or 307mm long case has a rim diameter of 76mm.
