These seem to be quite hard to find.
Number 49 fuze as used in the 3 inch 20 cwt anti aircraft shell (late WW1).

Fuze, Percussion, with Cap, No 49

Dave,

Below from a bit of work that Ian Hogg did. Have not reaeached the references. Might you happen to have a design drawing I could use?

Fuze, Percussion, with Cap, No 49
Design RL202. Approved as CINO Design 43. A No 18 with the needle hammer lengthened so as to protrude beyond the head of the shell. Eventually developed into the 106 type. For 3in 20cwt AA and 6pr and 12pr Davis recoilless gun anti-Zeppelin shells. For the full history, see OBAR for 1916, p341. Approved by DNO 24/5/1916 in OC Min 4434 of 5/6/1916. DNOon 18/6/1917 says no further action as impact AA fuzes are only being retained pending provision of a suitable time fuze.
Mk 1 19507 (Confidential) of 29/6/1916 Confidential introduction CINO43 for Naval Service
Obsolescent 23557 of 5/7/1920
Obsolete for Land Service (Formal obsoletion - it was never used in land service) in Ordnance Committee Minute 18135 of 27/6/1917

Thanks Norman, I've got no other info on it, no drawings etc.
I didn't know it was also used in Davies gun rounds.
Dave.
