British No.100 fuze 'horse shoe' stamp

Hi all,

I have a British No.100 fuze (completely Brass manufacture) with among other things a tiny Horse shoe stamp on the main body.
(unfortunately, the camera couldn't pick it up well enough...)
I've seen this horse shoe stamp on other British fuzes in the past.

Is this a company trademark by any chance and if so who?

Any pointers would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance!

More likely an inspection stamp, particularly if it's tiny. A photo really would help though.

I'd be fairly confident that it's only an inspection stamp. The fuze manufacturer's stamp will be somewhere near the "100 I" and is often a 2 or 3 letter code, but sometimes a monogram.

Hi Darkman,
Thanks for the info, I'm with you on the inspection stamp. There is the very feint stamp of a monogram on the opposite side, to feint to make out in detail sadly.
Curious little inspection mark all the same. Wonder what the story is behind the horse shoe choice of mark....
Cheers!
