Breech Mechanisms in Ian Hogg's "Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Artillery"

There are very good and fairly comprehensive listings of the Artillery used by most Nations in the book, but the abbreviations for some of the breech mechanisms has me lost! HSB is obviously Horizontal Sliding Breech, but what is HSB/SA? The same question for VSB Vertical Sliding Breech and IS Interrupted Screw, what do VSB/SA and IS/SA stand for? There is also a mention of VSB/A, which might be a typo for VSB/SA; and also SQF. Expert opinions gratefully received! Depotman

SQF = Super Quick Fire either Semi Quick Fire?

I'd agree SA is semi automatic. I think IS is Interrupted Screw.
