Boxer fuse part??

Can anyone positively ID this item? I was told it is a percussion element fitted to boxer type time fuses. Looks to have been in the sea. Empty.

Hi tigband,
length and diameter in inches would help, however below at right end of image shows the brass percussion element used to ignite the wooden time fuse in a RML projectile.
Regards,
John

Hi John, thanks for the reply. The item measures 15/16"(24mm)wide by 1-1/8" tall(28mm). It is definitely British, with the vent hole replicating that on a Hotchkiss pattern base fuse used in British service. Its not the item shown in your illustration. Thanks again Tig.

Can you show the members where it goes?
